Ms. Dongxia Zhang

Ms Dongxia Zhang has been teaching Chinese language and culture at the National University of Ireland, Galway since 2007.  She began her career as a lecturer of English in Beijing and began teaching Chinese in 1994.  She holds a BA in English, a Postgraduate Diploma in language teaching pedagogy, and a Master’s Degree in information technology.  Her other qualifications include Certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Postgraduate Certificate of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Postgraduate Certificate of Teaching with Technology, and Postgraduate Certificate of Teaching Online.

Dongxia also holds a Certificate of Screen Writing and has a deep interest in Chinese arts, short film/ documentary making and computer technologies which she is keen on using in her teaching.
